The hat is quick to make and the stitch pattern is simple, which makes this a great project for on-the-go crocheting. I also like to crochet while enjoying a good audiobook or TV show. It’s always nice to have a small project that doesn’t require your full attention, but is more than just row after row of nothing but single crochet.
A richly colored yarn, like the Tosh Merino DK that I used here, is a great complement to the simple design and keeps the project exciting.
The hat fits adults with a head circumference of 20-22 inches. If you want a hat that’s shorter or one that’s extra-slouchy, it’s easy to omit or add rows as desired.
